Terms of Service for Slides Recorder Extension

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using the Slides Recorder Extension (“Extension”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Extension.

2. Description of Service

Slides Recorder is a Chrome extension that enables users to record audio narrations and mouse movements for Google Slides presentations. The Extension integrates with Google Slides and Google Drive to store and manage your recordings.

3. Account Requirements

  • You must have a valid Google account to use the Extension
  • You must authorize the Extension to access your Google Slides and Google Drive
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Google account credentials
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account

4. User Responsibilities and Restrictions

You agree that you will:

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Use the Extension for lawful purposes only
  • Not use the Extension to infringe upon any third-party intellectual property rights
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or create derivative works of the Extension
  • Not use the Extension to distribute malware or harmful code
  • Not interfere with or disrupt the integrity of the Extension or its servers

5. Content and Intellectual Property

  • All content you create using the Extension (recordings, presentations) remains your property
  • You are solely responsible for the content you create using the Extension
  • You must have the necessary rights to any content you use in connection with the Extension
  • The Extension and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws

6. Privacy and Data

Your use of the Extension is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms of Service. Please review our Privacy Policy at Privacy Policy.

7. Third-Party Services

The Extension integrates with Google services including Google Drive, Google Slides, and Google Analytics. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that:

  • The Extension will meet your specific requirements
  • The Extension will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • The results from using the Extension will be accurate or reliable

9. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

  • Your use or inability to use the Extension
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein
  • Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Extension
  • Any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or the like that may be transmitted to or through the Extension

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Extension immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including, without limitation, if you breach these Terms of Service.

Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Extension will immediately cease
  • You may continue to access your recordings through your Google Drive
  • You may delete your recordings at any time

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms of Service at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days’ notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
